
Join us for a fun, science filled Spring Break!! Designed for 1st-3rd graders, our nature-based Spring Break Camp is packed with exciting explorations, hands-on activities, and plenty of fresh air. From nature hikes to wildlife tracking, campers will discover the wonders of the natural world and create lasting memories. Camp is Monday through Thursday (March 9th-12th) from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. This is a small camp and space is limited.
Step back in time with our Ice Age Adventure Summer Camp! Designed especially for rising Kindergarteners, this camp allows campers to explore the frozen past while learning about ice age fossils, giant mammals, and how animals adapt to stay warm. Each day at Ice Age Adventure Camp is filled with: Tundra Treks & Observation: Discovering hidden trails, tracking "ancient" footprints, and observing how our local wildlife survives the changing seasons. Animal Encounters: Meeting live animals and discovering how they are related to the massive creatures of the prehistoric past. Paleo-Inspired Crafts: Creating nature-based art and fossil replicas using stones, clay, and other natural materials. Mammoth Games & Story Time: Enjoying high-energy prehistoric games and listening to enchanting stories about life during the Great Frost.

Camp WILD (5th-6th grade) is the ultimate outdoor adventure camp for rising 5th and 6th graders eager to explore all that nature has to offer! Campers will spend the week hiking scenic trails, canoeing, fishing, and swimming, investigating forests and wetlands by observing real biologists at work, and experiencing up-close encounters with native wildlife. The adventure wraps up with an optional overnight campout at the Museum on the final day. Grab your gear, pack your sense of adventure, and get ready for an unforgettable week at Camp WILD!

If so, the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science's High School Field Camp is the perfect opportunity for you. Campers will spend an exciting week in the Mississippi Delta at Leroy Percy State Park in Hollandale, MS, exploring the Mississippi Valley Alluvial Ecoregion and its surrounding landscapes. Guided by professional research scientists, participants will study some of Mississippi's most fertile lands-areas rich in soil, wildlife, and natural resources. Campers will hike, explore land and water habitats, and experience firsthand what makes this region an ecological treasure. This camp is not for the faint of heart, but it is truly a one-of-a-kind experience that offers a behind-the-scenes look at the daily work of field researchers. Join us to explore Mississippi's beautiful habitats, discover its incredible wildlife, and gain a new perspective on science in action.

Each day, campers will explore the great outdoors alongside some of our most knowledgeable biologists and educators, discovering ecology, conservation, and the natural world through hands-on experiences. Junior Naturalists will enjoy the ultimate camp experience-hiking, collecting specimens, conducting fieldwork, and canoeing-while building friendships and creating unforgettable memories in the wild. This exciting week will wrap up with an overnight campout at one of Mississippi's beautiful state parks.

Get ready to return to the W.I.L.D. this summer at the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science! Rising 3rd and 4th graders will Wander, Investigate, Learn, and Discover as they explore the amazing outdoors of Mississippi. Campers will spend their days adventuring in and around the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science and LeFleur's Bluff State Park alongside experienced conservation educators. From canoeing and archery to trail hikes, wetland exploration, nature crafts, and up-close critter encounters, this action-packed week is full of fun and discovery across the ecosystems that make our state so special!
