  • DESCRIPTION: Project WILD is an interdisciplinary conservation and environmental education program emphasizing wildlife that is designed for educators of kindergarten through twelfth grade. It capitalizes on the natural interest that children and adults have in wildlife by providing hands-on activities that enhance all subject and skill areas and by addressing the need for human beings to develop as responsible citizens of our planet. In this workshop, we will explore the wild through Hunter's Education & explore Native American hunting techniques with guidance from the Choctaw Wildlife and Parks Department.
  • NOTE: Please bring your lunch and a reusable water bottle. Wear comfortable shoes and clothing suitable for the weather as we will be outside for some activities. Space is limited. Masks and social distancing required.

  • DESCRIPTION: For this workshop, we will be using the new Project Wet curriculum "Getting Little Feet Wet." This workshop and curriculum are specifically created to help young children learn about the science of water in our bodies and the environment. The focus of this workshop is on indoor and outdoor water activities that are compatible with most classroom settings. While this curriculum is designed for teachers PreK-2nd grade all educators are welcome.
  • NOTE: Please bring your lunch and a reusable water bottle. Wear comfortable shoes and clothing that can get a little wet. We will be on the museum's trails for a few activities, weather permitting. Masks and social distancing required.
