  • DESCRIPTION: Museum Ambassador Program is a new and fun way to get CEUs! Museum Ambassadors receive in-depth STEM training from Scientists and Educators. You will go behind the scenes to learn all the museum has to offer. After participating in our hands-on activities, you will create your own to share with museum guests. This program offers 3 CEUs (30 contact hours). Some dates are required but most allow flexibility that works with your schedule. Spring Session: January 21-May 31, 2023. Required (12 hours): January 21, 2023, 10:00am-4:00pm - Orientation April 1, 2023, 11:00am-5:00pm - Naturefest Pick 1-2 (6 hours): March 4, 2023, 9:30am-3:30pm - Fossil Road Show (6) March 15, 2023, 10:00am-12:00pm - Pollinator Day (2) May 20, 2023, 10:00am-2:00pm - Born to be Wild (4) Free Choice (12 hours): As individual schedule allows, can be weekends or other evening events

Wear comfortable shoes and clothing suitable for the weather as we may be on the museum's trails for a few activities.   • DESCRIPTION: Start off your holiday break with us exploring the Project WET 2.0 Guide. Project WET is a collection of innovative, water-related activities that are hands-on, easy-to-use and fun! Activities are suitable for students from Kindergarten-12th grade. This workshop promotes critical thinking and problem-solving skills and help provide young people with the knowledge and experience they will need to make prudent decisions regarding water resource use. This workshop will explore water properties and weather.

  • DESCRIPTION: Through activities involving language arts, social science and math experiences, coupled with community outreach and service-learning applications, Beautiful Birds, a specialty Flying WILD workshop offers a whole-school approach to environmental education using birds as the focus. Targeted for the middle-school audience, though widely adaptable, Flying WILD offers practical hands-on classroom and outdoor field investigation experiences connecting real-world experiences in bird biology, conservation, and natural history.

  • DESCRIPTION: his workshop focuses on water education and constructive play for young learners. We will be using the Getting Little Feet Wet curriculum that is designed specifically for young children to allow them to explore the science of water in our bodies, the atmosphere, and in our environment. While Getting Little Feet Wet is designed for young learners, teachers of all disciplines are encouraged to participate as the curriculum can easily be enhanced for older students.
