  • DESCRIPTION: Project WILD ( Wildlife. In. Learning. Design.) is an interdisciplinary conservation and environmental education program emphasizing wildlife , designed by teachers for teachers of K-12. By providing hands-on activities that enhance cross curricular subject and skill areas, Project WILD capitalizes on our instinctive interest in experiencing nature, while also developing responsible citizens of our planet. This curriculum supplement helps students learn how to think, without telling them what to think. Project WILD is an award-winning program from the Council of Environmental Education that shares effective methods to teach problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • NOTE: Please bring your lunch and a reusable water bottle. Wear comfortable shoes and clothing suitable for the weather as we will be outside for some activities.

  • DESCRIPTION: **Workshop Location: Natchez Trace Parkway Visitor Center 2680 Natchez Trace Parkway Tupelo, MS Educators will explore wetlands using water-based curriculum- Project WET: a collection of innovative, water-related activities that are hands-on, easy-to-use and fun! Activities incorporate a variety of formats, such as large and small group learning, whole body movement, laboratory investigations, discussion of local and global topics, and involvement in community service projects.
