Section 25-4-105(3)(a), Miss. Code of 1972, does not prohibit a county employee from also serving in the Legislature. However, if elected, neither his employment with the county nor his consulting business can be compensated with funds appropriated by the Legislature, pursuant to Section 109, Miss. Const. of 1890, and Section 25-4-105(2).
