An individual may not be employed by a state agency while having a material financial interest in a business which is a contractor to the agency. A public servant may not have a material financial interest in a business which is a contractor to the governmental entity they serve, pursuant to Section 25-4-105(3)(a), Miss. Code of 1972, unless an exception applies, and none do under these facts.
