Application for Academic Year 2014-2015
Nissan North America, Inc provides scholarship funds for applicants that will attend a public Mississippi two-year college or public four-year university. Applicants completing the following application must meet all of the following prerequisites to be eligible for the Nissan Scholarship.
Please review these prerequisites and continue with application only if you meet all of them.
Available to the student who:
Will graduate from a Mississippi high school in May/June of this calendar year;
Achieves a minimum cumulative 2.5 high school grade point average on a 4.00 scale after a minimum of seven semesters;
Scores a minimum of 20 on the ACT. Scores resulting from the national testing of the ACT are the only accepted scores for state eligibility. Residual test scores are not acceptable. A minimum score of 940 on the SAT I test may be substituted for the minimum of 20 on ACT;
Is accepted for enrollment as a full-time student at a Mississippi public community college or university;
Is a legal resident of the State of Mississippi;
Demonstrates leadership abilities through participation in extra-curricular activities;
Demonstrates financial need by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
