Mississippi Forestry Commission (MFC) has been a leader in the protection, management, and sustainability of the state’s forests for over 95 years. The MFC provides expert management, protection, and information needed to keep Mississippi’s approximately 19.2 million acres of forestland healthy, productive, and prosperous.

The fire fighters who put their lives on the line every time they answer a call rely on the training they have received for their safety and protection. There is no place where they will receive more dedicated training than the Mississippi State Fire Academy (MSFA). MSFA staff remain vigilant and aware of the changes in firefighting challenges and techniques. They are constantly evaluating and training in fundamental and advanced skills to save lives and property.

The Mississippi Department of Human Services is dedicated to serving others while providing a wide range of public assistance programs, social services and support for children, low-income individuals and families.
