State Board of Physical Therapy

The Board is a state licensing and regulatory agency authorized by the legislature to protect the public against the unqualified, incompetent, unprofessional and unlawful practice of physical therapy. The Mississippi Physical Therapy Practice Act establishes the standards for the practice of physical therapy and defines the scope and limitations of practice. The Board adopts regulations to carry out the laws governing the practice of physical therapy.
